My name is Benjamin Haynes and it is my honor and privilege to be teaching fourth grade at Wildfire Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year! This will be my second year teaching fourth grade and my sixth year of teaching altogether!

​

I was raised in the small town of Dickinson, North Dakota. I graduated Dickinson High School in 2009, attended Dickinson State University, and graduated with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education in December 2013. I taught two years of fifth grade at Prairie Rose Elementary School in Dickinson before making the giant leap to Phoenix in June 2016. I taught a year of sixth grade ELA at Whispering Wind Academy and in fall 2017 I was given the honor to join team Wildfire!

 

Of all the schools I've worked in, WFES is my absolute favorite! The work ethic of the students here is incredible and the families are so supportive and helpful. We have the BEST staff here at WFES and I will forever be grateful to know that I've been a part of this family of educators.

When I'm not in the classroom with my kiddos, I can be found working part-time at American Eagle Outfitters or teaching fitness classes at Mountainside Fitness. I also am an avid hiker (Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountain being favorite frequent spots of mine). I love to eat, eat, and eat! I am a HUGE concert junkie and I travel as often as I can to really explore and experience as much as I can. I am not a fan of snow (hence leaving North Dakota!) and I love any excuse to be outside.
